"The Color of Trouble!" Story

Roger bursts into Rick's office and explains to him that he just came from the set of a new movie starring a new toon named Gloria Rome. Roger had noticed that Gloria was crying and tried to cheer her up with his comedy. At one moment, Roger noticed that Gloria was going pale. Gloria panicked and ran out of the studio. CB Maroon wants to find Gloria and get her back before she costs the studio more money.

Rick and Roger get Gloria's address from CB and head for the B&W section of Toontown. They find Gloria's house and discover that she is actually an old-time cartoon star named Miss Glory. Glory explains that she was desperate to find work again after cartoons went to color. Then one night, a toon named Ratso, makes Glory an offer: money for a chance to become a colored toon. Glory accepts the deal and begins getting work again until her new colors began to fade under the hot studio lights.

Roger suggests disguising himself as a B&W toon using himself as bait to lure out Ratso and his crooked boss. The plan works and Ratso takes Roger to the Silent side of Toontown where he discovers the culprit behind this con job is a silent toon named Doodles the Cat. Doodles and Ratso discover that they've been trick, just before Rick arrives riding on the back of a silent toon dragon.
