Roger arrives at the ''Ink and Paint Club'' to pick up Jessica, but he ends up finding the place in shambles. Jessica is talking with the club owner, Duke Malloy, in his office, where he explains to Roger that someone is threatening to ~~vandalize~~ the club if they don't get "10,000 simoleons" a week. But the note was ripped so they don't know who the ~~note~~ is from.

Jessica is talking with the club owner, Duke Malloy, in his office, where he explains to Roger that someone is threatening to keep vandalizing the club if they don't get "10,000 simoleons" a week. But the note was ripped so they don't know who the threat is from.

Roger suggests ~~talking to~~ his old ~~friend~~ Eddie Valiant to help out. But Eddie is too busy to take the case. He recommends a new Private Investigator that his police contacts told him about, named Rick Flint. Out of desperation for a case, Rick accepts the job.

While searching the ''Ink and Paint Club'' for clues, Rick and Roger find the piece of the note that was ripped off. The note was signed "Big Bill". Sounds like a toon name. Having never heard the name before, Roger suggests talking to Baby Herman, who "knowns anybody who is anybody in Toontown". Baby Herman doesn't know much on Big Bill but he suggests looking for one of his thugs named Wally Weasel.

Calling for Benny the Cab, Rick and Roger follow Big Bill and his Weasels back to the ''Ink and Paint Club''. They find Duke tied up and Big Bill trying to make off with Jessica. Duke informs Rick that there is a bomb in the club. Roger lures the Weasels into an ice box to capture them, but he ends up accidentally trapping himself, as well, and they all freeze.
