Roger Rabbit II: The Toon Platoon is a canceled prequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The film was set to take place in World War II and tell the story of Roger Rabbit and how he grew to be a star.

Plot

It's 1941 and Roger Rabbit finds out he is a cartoon character. He's also adopted, so he goes out to find his mother. He hitches a ride from a guy named Richie but Roger makes the car explode. He's not damaged though since toons are invincible to anything but DIP. They eventually make it to Hollywood and Roger meets a voice actor named Jessica Krupnick. Riches then goes and picks on some sailors then gets beaten up. Richie wakes up in a cartoon neighborhood and gets a part in a movie. Roger Rabbit is still looking for his mom so he chases a bus onto the set of Richies movie. After that a plot twist happens revealing that Jessica's boss is actually a Nazi. Jessica also has a human roommate named Wendy. The humans join the toons to fight in the war though Roger and Richie are too scared to fight. Then Richie and Roger hear Jessica's voice on the radio but Jessica is reading Nazi propaganda because she has been kidnapped by the Nazis. Also, Wendy will be killed by Otto if she doesn't comply. Roger and Richie come from a German base to rescue Jessica and Wendy but Otto has a plan to launch a rocket to assassinate the western leaders at the Malta Conference. Otto also has 2 toon panthers named Bambi and Thumper. A kitty cat then saves them from the firing squad. They then climb the radio tower to stop the rocket from launching. They finally stop Otto from launching the rocket and Roger Rabbit finally meets his mother and it turns out Bugs Bunny is actually Roger Rabbit's father.
