The Dipped Toon Shoe was a shoe who appears in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It was voiced by Nancy Cartwright.
Role in film
Innocent, mischievous, and playful by nature. The single Toon Shoe is first seen squeaking and rubbing against Judge Doom's leg like a lost puppy, unaware of his evil nature. It tries to playfully run off as Doom puts on a glove and reaches down to catch it as he gives his monologue about Toons respecting the law and such. When he catches the shoe, it starts comically squeaking and frantically struggling around, playfully trying to get away, still unaware of its upcoming fate. It would be the first toon killed onscreen as a demonstration of The Dip (Turpentine, Acetone, Benzine). When the shoe finally notices the Dip, it looks around bewildered then, realizing the situation, starts shaking and whimpering pleadingly, before squeaking in agony as it gets dissolved in front of a very appalled Eddie Valiant and Lt. Santino (who look away in horror). Afterwards, all that is left is a liquid mass of red gunk in chemicals when Doom withdraws his hand, sealing the poor shoe's fate.
