Bongo the Gorilla is a cartoon ape who appears in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He was voiced by Morgan Deare.

Role in film

He is the bouncer of The Ink and Paint Club. The password Eddie Valiant uses to get in is "Walt sent me.", and afterwards Bongo lets him in, and insults him after Eddie compliments his "suit". He also throws Eddie out of the club for taking the pictures of Jessica Rabbit and Marvin Acme playing pattycake. He is seen again in the deleted "Pig Head" scene where he knocks Eddie out cold for sneaking back into Marvin's office. He was supposedly a henchman of Judge Doom at the time, until the final scene, where he was seen with the other toons. It is possible that after Doom's death Bongo reformed and is now good.
